ALEX HAWKE MP TO PRESENT BUDOKAN COMMEMORATIVE MEDALLIONS TO OUR 2017 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS – TUESDAY 22ND AUGUST

It has taken some weeks of negotiation to secure the Federal Member for Mitchell, the Honourable Alex Hawke Member of Parliament, Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, for this special event. He will be participating in our traditional presentation to the club of all our athletes who participated at the 2017 Nationals to the club, and will also present the specially minted Budokan medallions to our Gold medalists. Please make a big effort to come to the club to support our 40 athletes who represented NSW in 56 National categories, including: 37 athletes in 52 open divisions of contest, 1 special needs athlete, and 3 athletes who competed in 2 Kata divisions.  These athletes won 24 medals in open divisions of contest: 6 x Gold, 9 x Silver, and 9 Bronze, plus 1 Silver in the Special Needs division and our Kata athletes won Gold (2 athletes) and Silver. Date: Tuesday 22nd August 2017Time: 7.45 – 8.15pm (between the Junior and Senior sessions).
