DYNAMIC BALANCE FOR LIFE INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM

I mentioned in December’s newsletter that the “Dynamic Balance For Life Introductory Program” is a partnership between Budokan (and only a few other Judo clubs) and Judo Australia to introduce principles of landing safely to our senior citizens. I also advised that Kerrye and I  are accredited to run this program at the club. The aim is to, using Judo principles skill up older people to prevent falls (ideally) but also help them to land more safely in the event of a fall.

  • As soon as Judo Australia sets up the registration process (registrations have to go through them), we will be formally seeking expressions of interest from our older members of the community. Please keep discussions with your older family members and friends so that we can get this moving when ready.

  • There will be up to 8 participants per course, 1 hour per week over 6 weeks. No age limit. Cost will be between $240 and $255. Any questions? Please ask Kerrye or Rob.
