After the ACT Open, Nathan, Cameron, Saskia and Zach stayed on for the National Training Camp at the AIS. Athletes across a wide range of ages and experience from all over Australia participated including many new Cadets. Whilst the camp was being convened, Kerrye and I participated in the IJF Referee and Coach Seminar, also held at the AIS. The seminar was run by the IJF to explain the new rules which have just been implemented. Josh is currently at the Dusseldorf Grand Slam training camp and both he and Nathan, who is still training here, are preparing for the Agadir (Morocco) Grand Prix 9 – 11 March. Nathan leaves next Tuesday and will be back for the Melbourne International Open and Josh will come home from Camberley shortly after. Kyle is still training in Munich and will be back this Friday in time for the Queensland Open. We are fortunate to also have Senior National Champion U/73kg Calvin Knoester from WA, training with us. He is also preparing for Morocco and Melbourne.
