At the 2017 National Club Seminar held recently, Budokan was awarded "Best 4 Star Club in Australia" and "Best Initiative Club in Australian Judo". Belinda McIndoe represented Budokan and gave a presentation on what makes our club “tick” and accepted the two national awards.The “Best Initiative in Australian Judo” award was based on our programs for promotion/marketing, pre-school toddlers (Dino Kids), Government & Community, and International Participation. The "Best 4 Star Club” was for the highest membership between 100 and 200 members. This year our membership peaked at 166 and is still growing, ranking us 2nd overall in Australia. We also have the most female membership of any club with 54 (32% of club members).Thank you to all the athletes, parents and coaches who make our club what it is and we are so proud to be a part of such an amazing club!
