NATIONAL CLUB AWARDS

In the recently announced National Club Awards, Budokan was ranked the number one “4-star club”, which represents clubs with a membership between 100 and 200. 5-star clubs have memberships over 200 (there is only 1 of these in Australia), 3-star clubs have a membership of 75, 2-stars 50 and 1-star 30. This also makes us ranked #2 in Australia behind UNSW as the club with the highest membership. I am advised that we were also runner up in the Most Improved Club – I think the criterion is based on membership increase. Last year we won an award for the club with the greatest contribution to Australian Judo. These awards and those from Judo NSW are solid recognition at State and National levels for the hard work of all our club members and volunteers.
