SENIOR OCEANIA OPEN (WORLD CUP) VANUATU 10 – 12 NOV - RESULTS

Kyle McIndoe competed in the Oceania Continental Open on Saturday 11th November.  He had 5 in his division and was drawn in the pool of 3 against Vanuatu and Hong Kong. He won both these matches and his final was against the other Hong Kong athlete who had beaten the other Vanuatu athlete. Kyle was a level above these athletes but took a little time getting his rhythm. Both wins were convincing.  The final was a bit tricky and the match was reasonably even but Kyle took an opportunity for a very fast and effective transition which resulted in a submission and the Gold medal. Well done Kyle! Kyle will soon be off to Japan to train in preparation for the Asian Open (World Cup) in Hong Kong 9 – 10 December.  We wish his all the best!
