TOURNAMENT NOTICE - 2018 SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL 23RD SEPT

  • One day, four mats, over three hundred competitors. See the attached information sheet.  Standard Tournament Entry Closing Date is Sun 9th September after which the Late Entry Fees apply. A sheet will be available on the main table at the club to add your name if participating.
  • The club should have a good number of entries and Judo NSW has appealed to all NSW clubs to also support its premier Judo event by providing volunteers.
  • As with last year’s tournament, Judo NSW needs about 70 volunteers to make this event run smoothly. If you can volunteer - or have friends or family that can volunteer, then please help. Budokan is a big club and we need to do our share. Available times and positions follow:
  • Saturday, 22 September 2018 - Weigh-in – 11:30 AM - 3PM; Registrations - 11:00 AM - 3PM
  • Sunday, 23 September 2018 - Two time slots for Sunday are:    
  • 8.00 AM to 12.30 PM, and 12.30PM to tournament close (usually around 5.30 PM)
  • Positions available (please note training if required will be provided before tournament):
  • Electronic Scorer, Weigh In Official, Paper Scorer, Timer, Runners, Marshals, Competitor Control, help organise upcoming competitors. Please register as a volunteer by sending an email to judovolunteersnsw@gmail.com.  In the email please advise:
  1.         The position you would like to fill on Saturday and/or Sunday;
  2.         Your preference for times ie. morning or afternoon (or both) on Sunday; and
  3.         Any experience you have.
  • As a volunteer, you will have free entry to the venue with lunch and refreshments provided.  Free training for scoring will also be provided before the event.
