Youth Olympic Games Training Camp - Saskia Brothers

Off the back of the Oceania Gold medal and the Cadet Asia tour Silver and Bronze medals, the IJF has invited Saskia Brothers (as well as Rhys Allan from Uni of WA) to the IJF Youth Olympic Games Camp in Tunisia. Congratulations Saskia!! The camp is from the 19th to 25th August in Tunisia and is a fantastic opportunity to train with many high level athletes as part of the preparation for the Youth Olympic Games (YOGs) to be held in Argentina in October. The camp goes over 5 days and includes 8 training sessions and 2 cultural tours.  Guest instructors will be:Mark Huizinga - 2000 Olympic Champion, ’96 and ’04 Olympic Bronze, World medallist and 5 x European Champion; and Ilias Iliadis – 2004 Olympic Champion and 3 x World Champion (2010, ’11 and ‘14)Selections for YOGs will be released soon – fingers crossed for Saskia. Budokan is fortunate to have had representation at the YOGs previously. In 2014 Naomi de Bruine participated in the pre-YOGs camp in Switzerland and then in the YOGs competition in China where Kerrye was National Coach for both events.
