ACT INTERNATIONAL OPEN 13-15FEB AND AIS CAMP 15-18FEB

Next weekend, Budokan will have a strong representation of athletes at the first JA event series competition for 2026 at the ACTIO.

  • We have 26 athletes participating in 34 divisions: 1 U/11, 4 U/13s, 6 U/15s, 8 Cadets in 8 Cadet and 2 Junior divisions, 6 Juniors in 6 Junior and 6 Senior divisions and 1 Adaptive athlete. We also have 2 seniors competing in Kata (Ju-No-Kata). With 5 of our senior athletes (potentially 10 divisions) out with injuries/illness, we are a little down in numbers compared to last year where we had 34 athletes in 45 divisions, but our quality is very high and our guys are very prepared. We wish them all well in this event.
  • The competition will be followed by a National Randori Camp at the AIS Canberra where most of our athletes will be participating.

The following week we will be participating in the Sydney International Open where we will have 28 athletes participating in 36 divisions albeit entries have not yet closed.
