The above medals have been used for our Mons and Junior competitions for a number of years. We still have stock and will likely use these medals a few more times. However, it would be good to look at other design options. So, we are inviting club members to propose a change. In the existing medals, I used the original Budokan logo plus Dino design. Gold, Silver, Bronze and Grey castings are used for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th (in the case of 2 pools), placings. In the last couple of years, we also changed the ribbon to a single grey colour Budokan logo ribbon.
- The dimensions of the existing medal are 12cm wide and 6cm high. If we have a number of people coming up with a design, the club will provide a nice prize for the one which we end up using. Note that our manufacturer (in China) uses the casting process after manufacturing a mould, so the proposed design has to be accommodated this way. The time limit for this is by end of March so that I can see whether they can be made and the cost.
