2022 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL OPEN RESULTS– 12 - 13 MARCH

Congratulations to all 15 Budokan Judo Club athletes who contested the 2022 Melbourne International Open. Great to be back on board the domestic competition circuit again. Given the vaccination requirements and exclusion of Junior Boys and Girls age categories, our numbers were much smaller than usual but still a high quality group.We had 12 athletes contesting 22 divisions winning:16 medals: 5 Gold, 8 Silver and 3 Bronze with 1 x 5th place.Including No-Limits and Veterans divisions, we had 15 athletes contesting 25 divisions winning:18 medals: 6 Gold, 9 Silver and 3 Bronze with 1 x 5th place.Another strong effort by #TeamBudokan, again with all the Cadets stepping up to older age category divisions.
