Well done to Saskia Brothers who won a Bronze medal in Hong Kong last weekend (14 – 15 July) at the Cadet Asian Cup. She defeated her first opponent from Hong Kong by Ippon, lost to Korea by Ippon and then beat domestic rival Maria Swan from WA by Ippon with a counter technique for the Bronze. Saskia also competed in the Junior Women’s category (Junior Asian Cup) where she placed 5th beating Jones (NZL) by Ippon and then losing to Taipei by Ippon. In the Bronze match, she was thrown with 2 Wazaris by Thailand. Zach Colman competed in the same event. In Cadets he placed 5th beating his Hong Kong opponent and then lost to the Czech Republic and then to his UAE opponent in repechage. In Junior Men, Zach lost his first match and then his repechage match to Hong Kong opponents.
