Senior World Championships – Budapest Hungary 28th August – 3rd September – The JFA has just announced that Nathan and Josh have been selected to the Senior World Championships – Congratulations boys!
Junior World Championships – Zagreb Croatia 18th – 22nd October – The selection for this event will only be finalised on the 7th September after the Sydney International. Budokan is hoping for up to 3 representatives.
Cadet World Championships – Santiago Chile 9th – 13th August – Saskia was selected to the Cadet World Championships which is a great achievement especially given she is a first year Cadet. After a great deal of deliberation, we are proud of her mature decision to decline the invitation until she has more experience under her belt. Cadet Worlds is a significant event and quite costly so investing in more overseas training and lower-level international competitions will build sustainable improvement and international competitiveness, the sign of a serious competitor. Well done!
World University Games – Taipei Taiwan 19th - 30th August – Congratulations also to Naomi de Bruine who has been selected to the 2017 Summer Universiade.
