NSW NATIONAL SENIOR HUB TRAINING NSW JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

There has already been 5 NSW National Senior Hub Wednesday night training sessions this year and one Saturday Hub session. Budokan has great participation at these sessions with between 7 and 9 regularly attending each session comprising 30-35 athletes from all around Sydney. The first Junior Development Squad was also held last Saturday with great attendance from the club. At least 70 Juniors from many clubs around Sydney attended.

  • The next Junior Development session is scheduled for 4th March with Senior Hub in the adjacent dojo at the NSW Judo Centre, The Armoury, Silverwater. Wednesday Senior Hub sessions will continue as normal.

PARKING AT THE CLUB

PLEASE DO NOT PARK on the East side (Doran Drv) of the club building near the concrete porch. These places are clearly signed as being reserved for club coaches who are running the sessions that evening and who often have to bring in equipment.  Please also don’t park cross the road from the club directly in front of the club entrance as this hinders visibility of cars driving past the club and who will be looking out for our members crossing the road. Please also avoid parking right on the corner of Doran Drive which poses a risk to your car and makes it difficult to turn into the club’s road. Some cars have been parked very poorly with large gaps between already parked cars making it difficult for others to park. Please take care with these issues and consider others. Thank you.

2022 BUDOKAN ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT

Our 22nd annual awards night was held on 8th December 2022 and was also very successful. This was the first complete awards night in 3 years which made it all the more exciting. It was very well attended and our new club merchandise was well on display. Many awards were presented and a summary is available on the attached document. Club sponsor Carlo Barbarulo supported the catering for this event with his wonderful wood-fired pizzas. See https://www.pizzaalfresco.com.au/

  • The perpetual trophies (with all previous winner names on them) can be brought back to the club at any time where they will be displayed in the club’s trophy cabinet
