DOMESTIC UPDATE – CENTRAL COAST OPEN – 7TH MAY

The competition notice is attached to the email which includes this Newsletter. This is a great pre-Nationals event or for the less experienced athletes, a great event to build your competition experience. This event tries to match athletes within various grading bands as well as weight divisions.

  • Please note that the Weigh-in format is different this year. You must weigh-in at the club and enter your correct weight division when you enter the Smoothcomp on-line competition entry process. The competition Draws will be completed when entries close and will be set on the basis of your entered weight division. Physical weigh-in checks will be done at the competition but if you are overweight for your entered weight division at that time, you will not be allowed to compete in your entered division or in a heavier division so please enter your correct weight division during the entry process. If you have already entered and need to check your weight at the club, please do so asap. Pre-entries are on-line via Smoothcomp at https://smoothcomp.com/en/event/11237 and close on 4th May.

NEW JUDOGI SUPPLIER - IPPON.GEAR IJF APPROVED AND OTHER JUDOGIS

Budokan has entered into an agreement with Ippon.Gear Judogis to supply IJF approved Judogis for our international athletes and any Budokan athlete wanting to train in the highest quality Gis. Please see https://ippongear.myshopify.com/. As these Gis are quite expensive, Budokan athletes will be charged the exact discounted cost price to the club which is 20% less than the marked (RRP) prices on the website,  plus postage from Melbourne. Please see Rob if you want us to order one of these Gis. They have to be purchased by the club to attract the club discount. This arrangement replaces our previous agreement for Mizuno Judogis. We will retain the existing supply agreement with our current supplier for the “Budokan logo” embroidered Gis which are really very good quality and great value-for-money.
